Dr. Sarah Lindhurst

Dr. Sarah Lindhurst has been a part of our Mission Veterinary Partners’ family since August 2019. She was the Medical Lead at Abbey East Animal Hospital, and with the merger, is now the Medical Director of Metropolitan Veterinary Clinic. She began her journey and love for the veterinary field at the age of 12, starting as a kennel assistant. She quickly gained experience with general practice and emergency medicine as a veterinary technician for many years. Although she is a Michigan native, Dr. Lindhurst obtained her doctorate at Iowa State University and graduated in 2012. While at Iowa State, she received an award for outstanding performance in emergency medicine and critical care from the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, abdominal ultrasound, client education, and mentorship. Outside of work, Dr. Lindhurst enjoys playing slow pitch softball, bowling, crafts, watching sports, and traveling with her husband, Brad. She has a background in showing dogs and has extensive knowledge of the Setter breeds. Dr. Lindhurst currently does not have any pets with the unexpected loss of her heart dog Chauncey but is looking to grow her pet family soon.
